After giving a considerable amount of time on my class schedule for Winter Quarter 2009, I decided to let go one of the three Credential classes. Even though it's an online course, it would still takes time for me to do the assignments. Personally, I think I would be fine with this schedule of 3 Credential & 2 Art classes, BUT:
1) I've been going to school for 5 years straight, sometimes when I didn't have any summer classes, I would be doing something else, I wasn't really entirely on a vacation, or a break.
2) I'm burned out. Literally. If I take up as many credits as I did before, I really doubt my GPA would be above 3.0 at all.
That been said, I dropped the online Credential class, and have 2 Credential + 2 Art classes now. Which I believe is a good choice. I do need time to hone my illustration skill (gosh if I don't get good at hand-drawn human figures, how the hell can I move on to the next level? I have to start work hard, otherwise I can't use Painter to color my illustrations....And seriously, I owe Su-Lan so much, I want to show her that even though I'm half of world away, I didn't give up on illustration, I'm still working my way up).
I hope I can get some portfolio-worthy works out before the summer. I might decide to go to CSU Fullerton (yup, Jim's university where he got his BA degree) for a MFA in Design. But I might go there for a Master in Library and Information Science (Library Science in short) though...I haven't make a final decision yet. Seriously, if I want to get that Master in Library Science, I have to get hired as an Art teacher so my teaching credential can get cleared in 2 years. That's one of the requirements that the Cal State San Jose ask for for those who want to enroll into their Library Science Master Program.
Damn, and people thought being a librarian is easy. Well, if you only want to be a librarian assistant, that's easy, because it only requires 2 years of study. Not for a fully qulified librarian though.
The funny thing is, in California, the only 2 schools that offer Master in Library Science is UCLA (if you never heard of this school......um....you got to be kidding me) and Cal State San Jose. That means librarian is a career that not a lot of people seek after........Well, not everyone is a bookworm, so there you go.
